Security Officer - Credential Review

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an officer supporting a government location through routine patrols, access control, and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Maintain access control and monitor visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses may be required prior to employment based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions only.
