Security Officer Credential Processing Patrol

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced Credential Processing Patrol in Needham Heights, MA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Adjust your hours weekly—work part-time one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back as needed. This role allows you to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and contractor entry in accordance with site policies; verify credentials and maintain required logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$25.55 per hour.
