Security Officer - Credential Issuance

As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in Front Royal, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use technology to document access-related activity, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help maintain an orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, irregularities, and access control activities accurately and complete required reports in accordance with site-specific policies.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.22 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time. Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
