Job Description
As a Security Officer Courtesy Patrol Driver in Anaheim, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through customer service, clear communication, and a team-first approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, with attention to unusual activity and policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, crowd flow, and a professional atmosphere during business hours and special events.
- Assist with security-related reports, customer assistance requests, and/or directions while maintaining awareness of the location and reporting maintenance or life-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
