Security Officer - Corporate Property Patrol

As a Security Officer - Corporate Property Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members. You will provide exceptional customer service while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Pay

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Schedule

Full Time, Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property interiors, lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, building perimeters, and common areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with directing guests and vendors throughout the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• X-ray screening experience.
