As a Security Officer at a corporate bank tower in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly professional environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related observations to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.52 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time. Friday and Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
