Security Officer College Patrol

About the Role

As a Security Officer College Patrol, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, particularly in Education. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical campus events in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and unusual occurrences, and support a professional, welcoming learning environment.

Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.63 / Hour

Schedule

Monday to Friday: 02:30 PM - 10:00 PM
