Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and/or vendor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols and post instructions.
• Prepare routine reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or operational concerns observed during patrols and assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A college degree is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
