Job Description

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Roxbury, MA, working Saturday and Sunday from 11 PM to 7 AM. The starting pay is $21.20 per hour, with paid orientation and training. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and 1+ years of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and assist with security-related checks of doors, gates, and/or common areas in support of daily operations and special events.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
