Security Officer Client Assistance Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Client Assistance Patrol in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, docks, and/or the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries, verifying access permissions and reporting discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing high-traffic areas, reporting hazards or policy concerns, and following post orders for after-hours access, gate activity, and/or visitor processing.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
