Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required - Unarmed)

About the role

As a Cleared Security Officer, you will be entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. You'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Active Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• One or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites
• Valid Driver’s License – AU Driver Policy requirements
• Security Experience – 1+ years

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Schedule

Temporary Overnights – Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

$27.05 per hour
