Security Officer Checkpoint Inspection Clerk

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support smooth operations through screening activities, monitoring access points, and identifying potential security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Screen people, vehicles, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures, and report irregular activity or policy concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, dock areas, and perimeter locations to help support security-related operations and identify conditions that may need attention.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
