As a Security Officer Patrol Route Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous service to students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel and emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
