Security Officer Campus Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Norwalk, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Position Type: Full Time | Pay Rate: $22.55 / Hour

Schedule: Monday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Tuesday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Wednesday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Thursday 07:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Saturday 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
