Security Officer - Bicycle Loss Prevention

About the role

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Loss Prevention in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine bicycle patrols, monitor assigned areas, manage access points, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools and procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
