About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Baytown, TX, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders regarding security-related concerns and operational conditions.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
