Security Officer

The award-winning Westgate Park City Resort & Spa offers a dynamic and rewarding work atmosphere in the heart of the Canyons Village base at Park City Mountain. Guests come from all corners of the globe, and as a Security Officer, you help keep the resort safe, secure, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first responder to police, fire, and medical incidents within the scope of Security Officer duties.
• Maintain a visible, uniformed security presence across assigned resort areas.
• Control access at designated entry and exit points.
• Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels, in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Conduct routine safety and security inspections following established procedures.
• Maintain accurate security records, logs, and checklists.
• Prepare clear, timely, and detailed incident reports using computer systems and email.
• Aid guests and team members with security-related concerns and service requests.
• Manage lost and found inventory, key control, and accountability.
• Perform traffic control, parking enforcement, assist public safety officers, and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred (minimum of 1 year), but not required.
• Certificates in First Aid, CPR and AED highly preferred but not required.
• Prior hospitality or guest service experience strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems used to complete reports, logs, and email communication.
• Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Excellent judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
