Security Officer

Earn a bonus up to $2,500! At Wegmans, we prioritize creating a safe environment for all our customers, employees, and visitors. As a Corporate Security Officer, you will conduct foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access control, and protect company assets.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations, providing clear, calm, and decisive direction, and administering medical care as needed
• Manage access control, verifying vendors, contractors, and visitors have a legitimate reason to be on site
• Protect company property, corporate assets, and ensure the safety and welfare of employees, visitors, and vendors, emphasizing customer service
• Proactively patrol buildings and grounds, performing preliminary investigations related to safety and security events

Requirements

• 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a military, municipal, county, state, or federal police agency
• Valid license to carry a firearm
• Valid driver's license
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound judgment and ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively under pressure
• Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in stressful environments
• Ability to anticipate, analyze, and identify opportunities
• Participation in and completion of any required specialized training
• Technical aptitude and efficiency in navigating multiple programs and screens
