About the role
The Security Officer role is responsible for monitoring the healthcare environment to help prevent security incidents from occurring and deescalating incidents as they emerge. May provide protective services and, with sufficient training, patient restraints as deemed necessary by medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain surveillance of the healthcare environment to prevent security incidents.
- De-escalate security incidents as they occur.
- Provide protective services as needed.
- Administer patient restraints as necessary under medical staff supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Valid Driver’s license if required at local Health System.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar training to be completed within local Health System requirements.
- Completion of HIC 100, 200, and 700 if required by facility.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in hospital safety and security preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of hospital safety protocols.
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Basic first aid and CPR skills.

Pay
$5,000.00 Sign on Bonus paid in 3 installments, prorated for PartTime.
