Security Officer
About the role
The Security Officer at Frisbie Memorial Hospital provides security for the hospital’s patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring safety and responding to emergencies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and completion of certain certifications.
Responsibilities
- Responds to and investigates security incidents
- Maintains alertness for unusual conditions
- Monitors CCTV cameras and reports potential fire safety hazards
- Assists with patient observations and security situations
- Writes detailed incident reports and conducts follow-up investigations
- Communicates with the switchboard and law enforcement
- Manages aggressive individuals and assists law enforcement
- Drives a motor vehicle as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license, compliant with Frisbie Memorial Hospital’s policy
- CPI, Handcuffing, and CPR certification within three months of hire
- 6 months previous experience in hospital or campus security, law enforcement, corrections, or military
Qualifications
- Possesses the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts
- Interacts with law enforcement officers and assists as needed
- Interacts with patients, visitors, and staff as needed
- Provides testimony in state and federal courts if required
