Security Officer
Job Summary
To maintain the highest level of safety and security, you will patrol assigned areas, monitor electronic surveillance equipment, dispatch personnel, and respond to calls for assistance.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas by foot or vehicle
- Diligently detect and investigate suspicious activity or crime
- Monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems
- Dispatch appropriate personnel via radio
- Respond to calls for assistance, including incidents like violent or unruly patients, crimes in progress, or emergency codes
- Ensure all activities are logged and incident reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers
- Report HIPAA breaches if witnessed and conduct investigations
- Keep the organization’s mission, vision, and values at the forefront of all decision making and action
- Demonstrate professional and technical skills necessary for the role, exhibiting both depth and breadth of expertise
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting, law enforcement, or military service
- One (1) year experience as a Security Officer
- CABasic Life Support - CPR within 90 days
- Valid Driver's License in CA within 30 days

Pay Range
$25.76 - $30.18 /hour
