About the role
Security Officers are expected to safeguard company assets and ensure safety for both guests and team members.
Responsibilities
- Absorb and verify money, chips, and tokens during transportation.
- Control access to restricted areas.
- React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
- Maintain surveillance of patron and employee passage in and out of the casino.
- Identify and report safety hazards.
- Verify IDs for patrons under the age of 35.
- Report guests showing signs of intoxication.
- Assist with incident command for emergency response situations.
- Drive a company vehicle to patrol outside parking lots and other areas outside the main casino floor.
- Plan, organize, and complete work on time.
- Show initiative, take ownership, and go above and beyond to assist guests with their needs.
- Tolerate feedback and coaching from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Able to use a telephone, two-way radio, and computer.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk to various areas of the casino, and lift up to 250 pounds with help.
- Ability to write Security Incident Reports in a specific format.
- Ability to perform duties under pressure and in an interruptive environment.
- Current with First Aid/CPR/AED training and capable of responding to medical calls of all types.
- Ability to learn and operate various computer software programs.
- Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
