About the role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Security Officer to join their Security Department. The department's mission is to protect and prevent illegal or unauthorized activity within the hospital or on its campus. This includes serving, helping, and protecting patients, visitors, and employees through various means.
Responsibilities
- Monitor hospital grounds and facilities for signs of criminal activity
- Respond to emergencies and incidents as needed
- Interact with patients, visitors, and staff members
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
- Perform basic first aid as needed
Requirements
- Past experience in security, law enforcement, or military
- Basic computer skills (typing, keyboarding, and/or using a mouse)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good writing and communication skills
- Basic First Aid knowledge (preferred)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
