Security Officer

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help manage visitor traffic, deliveries, and/or restricted areas while supporting a professional environment for patients and healthcare personnel.
• Assist with security-related requests such as directions, escorts, and incident follow-up while communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
