About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Threat Assessment in Kissimmee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol duties, including regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public emergency responders when appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay & Schedule
Position Type: Full Time | Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
