Security Officer Armed Site Patrol

About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with shoppers, staff, and visitors with professionalism. This is a driving and armed post for individuals who value teamwork, reliability, and integrity while delivering responsive support and exceptional customer service throughout the location.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or shoppers by following site-specific procedures, store policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity, trespassing, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and merchandise zones for unusual activity, and support access control, loss prevention awareness, and other security-related functions as directed.
- Assist with de-escalation, escort duties, and incident follow-up while maintaining a visible presence and adhering to all post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal standards.
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Tuesday: 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Pay
$22.00 / hour
