Security Officer Armed - Site Access

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed – Site Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled-access areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, patrols, access-control activity, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
