As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Veteran in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and provide professional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas to help protect people, property, and sensitive assets.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Operate assigned communications and security-related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and site policies.

Requirements

• Possess 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
