Security Officer Armed Patrol Responder
About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Responder in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access and badge verification activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public partners as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with post orders.
- Support security-related operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and following protocols for alarms, emergencies, escorts, and/or other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
