About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, LA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. An armed guard card or license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, access points, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, patrol observations, incidents, and other security-related information in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, Allied Universal procedures, and site-specific requirements related to armed post duties.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred. At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$16.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
