About the role
As an Armed Patrol Driving Security Officer in Weslaco, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry authorized firearms in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Pay
$14.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
