About the role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Hazel Crest, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, donors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, assisting with visitor direction and adherence to site access requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
