Security Officer Armed Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Decatur, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. This is an armed driving post, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including entrances, parking areas, restricted spaces, and perimeter points, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor procedures, and/or delivery activity while supporting a professional environment within a healthcare location.
- Assist with de-escalation, medical-related emergency notifications, and coordination with site leadership and/or first responders when situations require additional support.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
