Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for staff, visitors, and/or vendors in accordance with site protocols, while helping to maintain order within the location.
• Support security-related operations involving sensitive healthcare environments by observing for policy violations, reporting hazards or suspicious behavior, and following post orders for escalated situations.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional qualifications: At least 1 year of security-related experience, customer service experience preferred, at least 21 years of age for armed roles, valid driver’s license for driving positions.
