Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
- Support Allied Universal and site leadership with incident reporting, routine checks, and follow-up on security-related concerns while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform in a physically demanding environment.
