About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Academy Graduate in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and site representatives when required.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain required post documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies, training, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime, Monday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Tuesday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Wednesday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sunday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
