As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location in Houston, TX, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Monday and Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established visitor management and access-control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency services and site representatives when needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of Military Police or Corrections Officer experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
