Security Officer Armed Overnights

About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer Armed Driver for Incident Response Patrol at a government corrections location in Raleigh, NC. In this role you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. The position requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license, and offers flexibility through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazardous conditions to designated personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be subject to state or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.50 per hour

Daytime – Friday 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM; Saturday 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM
