Security Officer Armed Mornings Full Time

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, road access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicles, and/or visitor activity in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
• Support traffic and roadway-related operations near the location by observing conditions, reporting hazards or disruptions, and assisting with directional guidance when appropriate.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical stamina and agility.
