Security Officer Armed Full Time

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Roanoke, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will work collaboratively with site personnel while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven approach in a caring, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$23.50 / Hour

• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
