Security Officer Armed Field Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, passengers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
- Support transportation-related operations by remaining visible throughout assigned areas, providing directional assistance, and assisting with crowd management, restricted area control, and/or incident response as needed.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
