This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization Driver in Delray Beach, FL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay
$21.85 / hour
Schedule
- Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
- Example shift: DayTime—Tuesday, 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or access-related concerns.
- Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with the public and following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related protocols.
Requirements
- At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
