Security Officer Armed Driving Role Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, movement, and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and report unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support order within a correctional environment by following post orders, maintaining awareness of inmate, visitor, and staff activity, and using assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and site policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
