About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Deterrence in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct mobile patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming, orderly environment. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional communication and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete required activity reports and shift documentation.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
