As an Armed Dispatch Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, dispatch personnel, document incidents, and provide responsive customer service. This driving position calls for sound judgment, clear communication, and a professional presence to help deter security-related incidents. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and supporting security-related operations at an aerospace and defense location.
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service to appropriate personnel, maintaining clear communication through radio, telephone, and electronic systems.
- Monitor security-related systems, alarms, and communications; document incidents, requests, and dispatch activity in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support as directed by established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, and report unusual conditions or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Handcuffing Certification.
- Pepper Spray Certification.
Pay
$27.03 per hour, full-time.
Schedule
Night shifts, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Wednesday through Sunday.
