Security Officer Armed

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable laws.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, document observations and incidents, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, following use of force guidelines, and maintaining readiness for medical center security-related needs during varying shifts and conditions.

Requirements

• Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for armed roles include a valid driver’s license and a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
