Security Officer - Armed

About the role

Allied Universal is looking for an experienced and dependable Armed Security Guard to join our team in De Soto, KS. This position requires prior security, military, or law enforcement experience, along with experience working in an armed security capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of security experience OR military/veteran experience OR law enforcement experience
• Previous armed security experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Pay & schedule

• Pay: $28.00 per hour
• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM — two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts
• Overnight Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM — three days per week, with the remaining two shifts hybridized
