Security Officer Armed Area Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site contacts when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and document security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
• Support security-related operations by preparing incident reports, preserving relevant information, and communicating clearly with supervisors, public personnel, and/or law enforcement as needed.

Requirements

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
