About the role

As a Security Officer – Armed – Access Control and Patrol in Lebanon, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as government buildings. As a part-time, armed security patrol officer, you will conduct routine patrols, deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress and egress points; secure classified information.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms; act as a first responder and provide first aid as necessary.

Requirements

• Must be able and willing to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater Lebanon, PA area.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania Concealed Carry Weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following experience criteria:
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement, corrections, or military service.
  • Minimum of 5 years of armed security experience.
• Ability to pass a physical that includes push-ups, sit-ups, and a cardiovascular-related stress test.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• No unpaid, unsettled, or disputed federal taxes or federal loans.
• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions only).
