About the role

As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in McLean, TX, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a telecommunications and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access control systems and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors entering restricted areas.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, business areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support adherence to access procedures.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.51 / hour

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Friday: 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Saturday: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Sunday: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
